Kalampa robbed at Sunset at Sun While Kansanshi humiliate Arrows

Poor officiating at Sunset Stadium saw Kitwe giants Nkana suffer a defeat to Zanaco in a rescheduled MTN Super League match week 2 encounter on Saturday.

Across the Capital City in Chelstone township, Red Arrows’ poor start to the season continued with a humiliating 3-nil home defeat to newly-promoted side Kansanshi Dynamos.

In Ndola, Indeni started life without coach Mwenya Chipepo with a point after they played out to a goalless stalemate with Kabwe Warriors.

ZANACO 1-0 NKANA (Ackim Mumba 75′)

While the match will be remembered for Kalampa fans throwing missiles on the pitch, referee Tryson Mwape should take the blame for the way he handled the match.

The first half was a balanced affair until Mwape started irritating the away fans with his poor officiating.

Game on!

The game had to be temporally stopped in the 73rd minute after Alex ‘Bazo’ Ng’onga’s was disallowed for apparently being offside.

Mwape and his assistants made a wrong call. The Wusakile faithful were infuriated and started throwing empty water bottles on the pitch.

It had to take Bazo to calm them down and they obliged.

Two minutes later, Red Arrows’ on loan winger Ackim Mumba who was under a similar arrangement at Nkana Stadium last season, stabbed his former teammates with a goal to put the bankers ahead.

With about 25 minutes left, Kalampa still believing they could still salvage even a point but to no avail.

At full time, Kalampa fans together with their players and technical bench besieged Mwape and the referee had to be escorted by Police officers.

The drama did not end there as Mwape Red-carded Nkana assistant coach George Chilufya and Bazo.
