Zanaco Football Club recorded their third win of the season over the past weekend in a week 12 fixture against Kafue Celtics in the MTN Super League played at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.
Speaking during a Post Match interview Zanaco Football Club Head Coach Kelvin Kaindu told the ZamFoot Crew that despite collecting maximum points the team needs to work on certain things such as mistakes in defense
Kaindu wants his team to tighten the ship at the back to avoid their opponents capitalizing on their mistakes. The former Power Dynamos and Nkana boss was however happy with the win and a clean sheet.
“What mattered for us today is to come out with maximum points and that is what we got, although there is a lot we need to work on like a few mistakes In our defense that would have allowed our opponents to capitalize especially towards the added time,” he said.
“The most important thing is we have managed to score and keep a clean sheet and that’s a plus for us, In every game we have chances but we need to work on our Finishing ability,” Kaindu added.
Kaindu believes the win reduces the pressure on the team as they shift their attention to Continental Football this weekend.
“It eases a bit of pressure especially that will be inactive this weekend due to CAF games, this has also pushed us slightly on the log table but we still have to push more as we prepare for the CAF Confederation Cup game,” Kaindu said.
The Bankers are now 11th on the MTN Super League log table with 14 points collected from the 11 games they have played so far.
