MTN Super League side Kabwe Warriors have signed forward John Bakata Amsini on loan from DR Congo giants TP Mazembe.
Amsini joins the Magnificent People’s team on a season-long loan deal; Mazembe has confirmed on their official website, monitored by the ZamFoot Crew.
The deal was completed yesterday after the two sides came to a mutual agreement. Mazembe wants the 23-year-old to gain some minutes under his belt. Amsini joined the Ravens back in 2022.
“TPM announces the loan of its striker John BAKATA AMSINI to the Zambian club Kabwe Warriors for a period of one season. Trained at Ecofoot Katumbi, BAKATA grew up in the TPM environment and has built a reputation as a promising young talent.
In a squad rich in offensive competition, this loan will allow him to gain playing time and regain his full fitness in a championship renowned for its intensity. The transaction was concluded by mutual agreement between the two clubs on Thursday, October 2, in a climate of good collaboration.
By joining Kabwe Warriors, John BAKATA will have the opportunity to rack up minutes, progress, and come back stronger for TPM, ready to contribute to the future of the club,” Mazembe wrote in their website.
The Magnificent People’s team will be hoping the arrival of Bakata can help improve their strike force, as they have struggled to find goals this season.
Warriors failed to score in their opening three games of the 2025/2026 MTN Super League season and have only managed to score more than one goal in a game just once – their 3-2 loss to sensational ZANACO.
