Kabwe Warriors move up to fourth as Power and Zanaco fail to win again

Kabwe Warriors have moved into the top four following their 2-0 win against Team Kopala, Buildcon while Power Dynamos’ poor run has continued as they played to a 1-1 draw.

Action from week ten of the Zambia Super League continued on Sunday afternoon with six matches taking center stage around the country.

At Nkana Stadium a doubleheader was on the menu as Nkana welcomed log leaders, Green Buffaloes while Indeni squared off with Prison Leopards at the Nkana Stadium.

Indeni 0-1 Prison Leopards (Conlyde Luchanga 67′ )

CAF 2017 Under-20 AFCON winner Conlyde Luchanga came from the bench to score the only goal of the game to hand the Collect Boys their third win of the season and move them out of the relegation zone.

The win takes the Albert Kachinga coached side to 13th place with 11 points.

In the second game, Green Buffaloes unbeaten continued as they came from behind twice to hold Nkana thanks to a Friday Samu brace from the penalty spot to take his tally to 10 goals for the season

Ronald ‘Sate-Sate’ Kampamba and Alex ‘Bazo’ Ng’onga scored the two goals for the record 13 time Champions.

Friday Samu is the leading scorer in the MTN Super League with 10 goals

Kabwe Warriors 2-0 Buildcon (Field Kandela 32′, Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba 90′)

At Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium, Field Kandela and Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba scored a goal each to secure maximum points for the magnificent people’s team, Kabwe Warriors.

The win takes the Central Province outfit to fourth place with 14 points tied with third-placed Zesco United.

Red Arrows 1-1 Power Dynamos (George Mandu 59′ | Joshua Mutale 44′)

At Nkoloma Stadium, George ‘Iniesta’ Mandu scored his first-ever Red Arrows goal as the Airmen and Power Dynamos played to a 1-1 draw. Joshua ‘Budo’ Mutale scored the goal for Aba yellow.

Former Zambia international Clifford Mulenga rolled back the years with a sublime equaliser

Chambishi 1-1 Forest Rangers (Francis Kasaka 4′ | Clifford Mulenga 30′)

CAF 2007 African Young Player of the Year Clifford Mulenga rescued a point for Forest Rangers as he canceled out Francis Kasaka’s strike to make sure Fole Malembe and Chambishi shared spoils.

Zanaco 0-0 Lusaka Dynamos

At Sunset Stadium, Zanaco were not so sensational as they were held to a goalless draw by ten man Lusaka Dynamos in a local derby.

Striker Emmanuel Manda came close to scoring for Zanaco but was denied by the Dynamos goalkeeper Moonga Ndala.
