Joseph Musonda returns to Nkana

2012 Africa Cup of Nations gold medal winning defender Joseph Musonda is back at Nkana where he is hoping to find a home after being released by PSL side Polokwane City.

Musonda was part of the Nkana team that played the first friendly game against Kitwe United which ended 0 – 0.

Nkana coach Aggrey Chiyangi has stated that he will have to make a decision on whether to sign the veteran player.

Musonda played for Nkana FC from 2000 to 2004 before he left the club after it was demoted to the lower ranks.

And Jacob Keli came off the bench to score the lone goal for Nkana as they beat Kitwe United in the second friendly match against Kitwe United.

Chiyangi gave an indication on how the new look Nkana may line-up when they get back to business in the second half of the season in a game the new signings impressed.

Nkana Starting XI in second match:

  1. Nkana needs the massive experience of Joseph Musonda to encourage and help both the coaching staff and the young players alike. He will be a huge addition to Nkana. Coach Agrey, sign ba Jose and tap into his massive years of experience. Very timely for Zambia football development. And Thanx Joseph for the decision to come back home.

  2. This time we need expeience players such as ba muso, chris k,jacob, mbesuma and fwayo. To the young stars we need sate sate ,lubambo, mukuka mulenga and evans kangwa not patson and jackson mwanza

  3. Instead of furthering their careers by either going for coaching courses or starting up soccer academies, these rejected tired legs are coming back home to trouble young ones. It is a pity….

  4. MUSONDA DOES NOT ADD VALUE TO KNANA. HE IS TOO OLD HE SHOULD CONSIDER TO QUITE AND START COACHING. MAY BE NKANA WANTS TO TURN THEMSELVES INTO OLD PEOPLE’S HOME LIKE THERE FELLOW PREMIRESHIP SIDE ZESCO. THIS IS USELESS. AND ZAMBIAN COACHES ARE USELESS INDEED.INSTEADY OF DEVELOPING YOUNG TALENT THEY ARE BUSY RECIRCLING WASTE PRODUCTS. THIS IS NONSENSE.
