Chipolopolo coach Honour Janza says he is confident Nathan Sinkala will hit top form before his team kicks off the Africa Cup of Nations campaign in four weeks time despite not seeing much game time at his club.
There have been growing concerns amongst Chipolopolo fans on the form of the Chipolopolo vice captain in recent games but his coach has moved to dispel the fears stating that Sinkala is a determined player and that one month was enough time to fine tune him.
“It won’t be a challenge for Nathan to be back to form, one month is enough to prepare him for AFCON finals, I would have been worried if he had an injury,” Janza said.
Sinkala who plays for Swiss side Grasshoppers was one of the first foreign based players to join camp and is expected to play a key role for Zambia at Equatorial Guinea championship.

But i stil feel we nid a dependable backup in defensive midfied role.Kondwani Mtonga seems best for me,though the same Mtonga is best ,for me ,to partner Sunzu as wel at the back.By the way,hw hs Katebe been doing in recent games for hs club?
Defence and central midfield is the source of worry as we heard to EG next year.
Was this Sinkala not training at his club? Yes he could have lacked game time, bit, am sure he was training at his club, for Chama it is understood because he had an injury. I read this Sinkala story about 2 weeks ago in either mtnfootball or Africanfootball publication. Zamfoot is busy with campaigns.
lets jst use next year afcon to expose the young ones for 2017. 2015 wont be ours. we mite reach the semis coz the other group has not so strong teams that we can overcome
sunzu sure. China sure. Zambian players and their love for money. awe sure
Do the same to Mayuuka, @ Paradox I think that Chinese Club is a better Club than Sochaux, sometimes what matters is the Club you’re playing for than which league you play in.
Allow Sinkala to take set-pieces too cos he sure packs hard shots.Kalaba should only take corner kicks of he wills.
@Don if u have watched Zambia games lately you wouldnt have posted that comment concerning sinkala taking free kicks.
Janza please fine tune Mayuka as well. I feel Faz need to intervene as well and ask Mayuka to leave southampton after the afcon. Janza should call Mayuka for the game against sa. Southampton should release him as they have wasted his time. Mayuka is a very dull boy he should have left when wolves came calling.
@ Paradox….last time I watched him was against Cape Verdi wen he had his hard drive denied by the cross-bar.For a sec I thot I was watching Gareth Bale unleashing one of his famous scorchers. In short ,Nathan got power in those legs.
Iwe john stop calling Mayuuka dull wabashani kinshi?
RIP P JAY.
The lank Kondwani Mtongo should partner Sinkala in the middle of the pack especially in the game against Congo. It is the most important game to us.Then justine zulu should be considered also to replace young Kalale or in case any happens with sinkala/mtonga.
Let Sunzu go wherever he can, it doesn’t matter, what is important is game time.We wired Ghana with players from competitive leagues in 2012.
@NAZO TOO BAD YOU COULDNT WIRE LESOTHO AND SUDAN WITH THE PAYERS FROM YOUR SO CALLED COMPETIVE LEAGUE TO QUALIFY FOR THE WC..FOOL
