It’s good, every coach wants positive results. It give hope for tomorrow we, couldn’t defend the cup but we will use the tournament to prepare for what is coming ahead.
Playing Ghana was good, Ghana was good opposition for us, we learnt one or two things. It’s good to win after a loss.
The team showed character today, football is about character and the character was good today. We reacted well, we said if we give Ghana the space they will play, so we pressed high and we kept pressing forward.
And Zambia midfielder Allan Mukuka was given the man of the match award after a good performance which saw him make one assist in the game.

Winning a useless playoffs or third place or coasafa is not the same as not participating in the WC!!
Watching the COSAFA games with an football pundit’s eye has revealed quite a.number of things that perhaps some people, especially those watching with a lay man’s eye can’t pick.Of course it is only normal that the strengths and weaknesses of teams that participate in a tournament are different. In this particular tournament one thing that stands out clear is the difference in how refined the players are. So far Malawi players look to the least refined and those for Lesotho could rank last as far as talent is concerned.

C’mon gents every victory is worth celebrating even the small ones. Lets not be those people who tell our kids we cant celebrate them passing grade 7 we will only celebrate when they graduate at university.
Lets not demoralise our boys by belittling this victory should they take the plate.
A bowl final is there, not pot final.They have copied the Rugby formate which I think is good for every team to have more game time even if they have been knocked off early.

What we need to celebrate is the win of a game. The place final may have less meaning except it will help the players to boost their morale and to help them prepare for AFCON. Allan Mukuka is a revelation. Herve Renard used to call him into camp but never made the cut inthe final squad. The lad showed his prowess inthe game against Rwanda and now at COSAFA. We have very talented and speedy wingers in Allan Mukuka,Lubambo Musonda,Rainford Kalaba,Chisamba Lungu,Fwayo Tembo,Bruce Musakanya,Charles Zulu and Kennedy Mudenda. The only player missing is the Isaac Chansa type-box to box midfielder. Of the above mentioned wingers, can u list them in order of quality starting with the top most/deadliest.
