Zambia national team midfielder Enock Mwepu will miss his club’s week 12 English Premier League clash away at Villa Park against Aston Villa.
Brighton and Hove Albion manager Graham Potter confirmed the development in a press conference earlier today.
Potter said Mwepu’s injury is not ‘too bad. The Computer has a minor muscle strain but maybe back to face Leeds United in week 13.
“Enock Mwepu won’t be available. He’s not too bad but the game against Aston Villa has come too soon, so we’re hopeful for Leeds but he has a slight muscle strain,” Mwepu said.
The former NAPSA Stars midfielder missed the Copper Bullets back to back Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mauritania and Tunisia due to the same injury.
Mwepu has been influential for the Seagulls in the recent past scoring a stunning header in the Carabao Cup defeat to Leicester City, Earning a penalty against Manchester City before scoring a wonder goal against Liverpool to open his EPL goal account.
