The Zambia U23 national team on Saturday afternoon had their final training session at Sunset Stadium ahead of Sunday’s must win All Africa Games qualifier against Nigeria.
The players and technical bench took time to watch the league match between Zanaco and Lusaka Dynamos before taking to the pitch.
The U23 players looked to be in great shape and high spirits as they were taken through their paces by assistant coach Chintu Kampamba under the watchful eye of head coach Fighton Simukonda.
There was however an injury concern as striker Moses Phiri did not complete the training session and had to be attended to by the medics for what seemed to be an injury.
The team completed the training session about 18:00hrs.
Zambia will on Sunday take on Nigeria at the Heroes stadium.
Charges for the game have been pegged at K20 all round except VIP which will cost K200.

Lets go Zambia go. JJB and his fellow haters from west africa will eat a humble pie.
The ignorant Mumbi will laugh on the wrong side of his mouth. All haters of the known African Giants of the west never prosper FIFA recognizes the Giants and ranks them accordingly. We care less what an ignorant man in Southern Rhodesia, living in a village near Kabwe thinks. That opinion is indeed no opinion. He shd rather advise FAZ TO make better travel arrangements whenever they travel to the west ELSE the CHIPOLOPOLOS will train in a swimming pool. The price for shambolic travel & administrative pitfalls
I have salt in my pocket I promised to rub it in your eyes if Zambia loses…
