The former Nkana forward sustained an injury in training and will not be available when Arsenal Tula returns to action on Saturday as the Russian League finally returns after a three months break.
Kangwa’s injury is a minor one and he will only be out for a week. The 27-year-old took to Facebook to confirm the sad development.
“The Russian Premier League is back this weekend sadly I won’t be able to fight with the team on the pitch as I incurred a slight injury in training. I will be out for a week,” Reads a post on his Facebook page.
Coach Igor Cherevchenko still has two Zambian players to turn two in his squad in Lameck Banda and Klings Kangwa who are eager to get in more game time after having played just 6 and 2 games respectively so far.
Tula will be looking to continue their dominance over Spartak Moscow in recent meetings. The Tula based side have beaten Spartak in their last three clashes. A win for Tula may take them to sixth place should Dinamo Moscow fail to beat Krasnodar in their clash.
The Russian League has been on a break for the last three months after the season was suspended because of the coronavirus outbreak.
Tula is currently on seventh place on the log with 28 points from 22 games played so is just 10 points adrift of the top four with 8 rounds of matches left to play.
