Injury knocks out Evans Kangwa

Russian based striker Evans Kangwa has been ruled out of Chipolopolo’s opening two AFCON qualifiers against Ivory Coast and Comoros.

The Arsenal Tula forward has been ruled out due to injury according to a statement from the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ).

Meanwhile seven Foreign based players have already joined camp ahead of Friday’s match.

Those already in camp are Fashion Sakala (Rangers-Scotland), Kings Kangwa (Arsenal Tula-Russia), Frankie Musonda (Raith Rovers-Scotland), Lameck Banda (Maccabi Petah Tikva-Israel), Toaster Nsabata, Roderick Kabwe (both Sekhukhune United-RSA), Tandi Mwape (TP Mazembe) and Cyril Chibwe (unattached).

The Chipolopolo boys are in Accra on a weeklong camp as they are acclimatizing to West Africa conditions before heading to Ivory Coast on Wednesday for the crunch Group H encounter set for June 3.

Zambia will then shift attention to the June 7 home match against Comoros Islands that will be played at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

The prices range from K50-K200 with VVIP tickets already sold out.
