INDENI FC releases Coach Dabid Chilufya.

The Indeni football club has part ways with IFC Football Manager/ Head Coach Dabid Chifulya.

The Development comes barely 48 hours after Coach Dabid Chilufya lashed out at the Oilo boys stating that he couldn’t continue coaching a team that was limited in thinking. The coach added that the boys were just denting his Image.

Coach Dabid Chilufya got furious and uttered these remarks when the Indeni football club conceded 2 goals in the second half after leading Forest Rangers 2 Nil.

Club President Stephen Lilongwe confirmed with IFC Media that the club executive decided to release the coach in their emergency meeting held on Sunday 31st January 2021.

Lilongwe Commended the coach for his input to the team and his contribution to building the current form of IFC which is a force to reckon with.” He is a professional and we wish him the best in his future endeavors”.

Lilongwe added that the club is in elite competition and now is the time for a technical bench that can take ownership of results, whether win or lose and make the necessary adjustments.
“We reviewed his media sentiments both written and recorded and we proceeded to grant him his aspiration to leave.”Our determination now is to work extra hard, when things get tough, even extra harder..and just a little bit more extra harder and harder to register our permanent position in the elite league for the next consecutive seasons.

Now is the time for resilience, unity of purpose, and ownership of our successes and defeats.

We have released the IFC Manager and since appointed Coach Chanda Mwape as Acting IFC Manager and caretaker until further Notice” Lilongwe said.

Commenting on reputational issues raised by coach Dabid in his interview, Lilongwe said that what was important is the reputation IFC will bring to the sponsors and its stakeholders and not the reputation of an individual.

“The boys are a good side and we will reorganize the technical bench to realize this fact. The team is recruited based on the recommendation of the technical bench which is headed by the Head coach/IFC Manager. It’s normal for the executive committee to look for reinforcements on the technical bench if the overall IFC Manager considers the team Limited in thinking. It all borders on the responsibility which is an obligation of the Head coach” Lilongwe said.
Our focus now is to bring in a Manager that builds a team, develops confidence in it, and shoulders responsibility for the success and defeats as these come. Teams get beaten ruthlessly..home and away yet Managers/ Head coaches must swallow the outcomes and live with them”

Lilongwe was confident that the team will get a victory in their game away to Lumwana Radiants over the weekend in Solwezi and another victory at home against Kabwe Warriors in the last fixtures to week 17 respectively.

He smiled and concluded.

WE ARE OILO.
