Zambian forward Patson Daka has said he is aware that his responsibility is to score goals.
On Thursday night Daka scored the opening goal for Leicester City in their 3-1 win over Polish side, Legia Warsaw in a matchday five UEFA Europa League tie to become City’s all-time top goalscorer in Europe.
Daka put the Foxes in the lead just eleven minutes into the match, Harvey Barnes’ pass deflected into the path of Daka, the Zambian was ruthless and, with his first touch, he slotted past Cezary Miszta to hand his side the lead with only 11 minutes on the clock.
The goal made him Leicester’s all-time leading goal scorer in Europe, with his fifth in the Europa League this season, after a four goal haul against Russian side Spartak Moscow last month.

“I’m a goal scorer, I know my responsibility, I know my job, so I just have to make sure that I’m in the right place at the right time and of course, I know the quality that we have in the team, so I just have to put the icing on the cake,” the former Power Dynamos striker said
“It also shows the confidence that I’m receiving from the team, and support, so I just make sure I utilise every chance that I get.”
The 23 year old also said that he was afraid he could have been ruled out for offside in James Maddison’s goal.

I was so afraid, because I thought maybe I interfered with it and maybe I’d be caught offside.”
“So I made sure to move out of the way, because I know the quality that Maddison has. To the left, to the right, every foot is comfortable. I was just ready to go for the rebound in case of anything!”
