STRIKER Alex Ng’onga is willing to feature for CF Mounana despite the Gabonese side failing to meet Power Dynamos’ asking price.
Power are demanding for US$400,000 while Mounana are offering US$70,000.
Power secretary Ricky Mamfunda said in Kitwe on Saturday that Ng’onga wants the Arthur Davies Stadium side to accept what Mounana are offering.
“Alex has indicated that he is not coming back. All he wants is to play for Mounana. As a club, we will not stand in his way,” Mamfunda said.
He also dismissed Mounana’s claims that Power are asking for “a lot of money”.
Ng’onga is already in Gabon, having flown on the same flight with Mounana after the Confederation Cup first round return leg which Power won 3-0 on April 4 in Kitwe.
Mounana won 4-3 on aggregate.

Lol! Interesting indeed. Ng’onga alebwa mu Gabon. I have been to Gabon. It’s quite a good country.
This guy has got talent but his indiscipline will make him go not far
Let him go ba power naimwe!this one sim to be a good move to me.if he settles in Gabon it will be very easy to clinch a deal in France.mark my words this boy will break through.
That asking price is ridiculous. Zambian clubs need to get serious. Surely, $400,000…c’mon now.
Yeah 400,000…hmm..well they have the right to demand.alot goes into developing these players.ofcourse the price shouldnt block the move.
Ba Power don’t you think 400pin is way too much.
just sell him at the offered price no one is going to buy him if not sold now. Moreover his way to gabon can easily provide access to france where he can easily improve his game.
Zambian clubs have all of a sudden developed a very selfish attitude when it comes to selling players. There is completely no thought of the players career all they are concerned about is the bottom line. pathetically useless attitude.
Nothing wrong about the price. actually, it is too little. it should be in millions. $70 000??? that’s too little. If I was Power, we would put our foot down and say. $500 000. any further complaint we will go higher. They cannot feature him until they clear him. so, If they really want him, they should pay for him. If Ngonga does not want to play for Power, we would let him rot in the benches till he sobers up. Players cannot dictate to a club.
@ Big Steve, it is not selfich. How much is a player in the second tier of English football? From what i gather, what Power is asking is the asking price inthe third tier of english football. If we want zambian football to develop, our teams should have the capacity to keep good players by paying them well. You cannot compete with the world if you do not have a certain level of quality in your squad
