Buffaloes and Double Action finished level on 7 points with the latter having a superior goal difference after they beat debutants Ntopwa of Malawi 4-0.
The two clubs await the result between Mamelodi Sundowns and Costa do Sol of Mozambique to know their semi finals opponents.
Last year Green Buffaloes beat then African Champions Mamelodi Sundowns in the final.
