Charly Musonda impresses on Real Betis debut

Charly Musonda jr. impressed on his debut for Real Betis as he helped the Spanish La Liga side to a 1 – 0 win over Gary Neville’s Valencia.

The 19-year-old’s audacious back flick to Ricky van Wolfswinkel saw the Dutchman feed scorer Reuben Castro to leave Neville looking for his first La Liga win in nine matches.

The Chelsea star thrilled the home crowd with fantastic football on his debut.

Zambia midfield legend Charles Musonda’s son far left celebrates the goal that came in the 49th minute.

First Zambian blood to play in La Liga and lasted the full 90 minutes plus 4 added minutes.

  1. Zambia is arguably the best football country in Africa now. Africa’s best talents are now in zambia, no team in Africa can stand the almighty chipolopolo. YES you heard that right no team.

Mbesuma, kalengo, Mbola, Kangwa, kalaba,Sunzu, Singuluma, ever-green katongo and even Mayuka plus he young upcoming and developing stars we have now, we will rule Africa for the next 10 years. No team presently in Africa can boast of the same number of talents mother Zambia have. Dominating everywhere from South Africa to Congo to Isreal to Belgium to Greece to Russia to Spain even to Egypt. If we can also get this musonda boy we will be too good on this continent.

2017 AFCON is for us and no team can stop us from going to 2018 WORLD CUP.
    Ivory coast can’t, Nigeria can’t , Ghana won’t dare, Cameroon can’t, Algeria can’t

    • Lol, c’mon man. How??? Players are trekking from Europe to Congo and Egypt and you sit here talking like that.

What young talent exactly? Patson Daka, the person you have been calling not good enough. Dude Ngoma? Charles Zulu?? Then you want to talk about Sunzu who is even having a hard time making the bench. Meanwhile Senegal, Nigeria, Ghana, are boasting players in La Liga, EPL, Ligue 1, and Serie A.

Lets not get carried away. There is confidence and courage as well as positive outlook, but what you are spouting are delusions. Our game is not upto that standard right now.

  2. The boy is good but he should learn to release the ball quickly. It seems he wants to dribble everyone thats why they were fouling him. Otherwise he is a very good talent. He has a bright future though. His type of play reminds me of Rainford “Master” Kalaba.

  3. Have heard of African FA Presidents who fly to European countries to personally ask players to come play for their country. Kalu should humble him self and do the some the Euros are around the corner Belgium is watching this boy. We need to move fast. Some of these players who end up playing for European countries usually say they were never approached by their country of origin. Let’s ask the boy and hear what he says.

  4. the boy is good. He should work on his distribution though. I think the coach is letting him dribble because he knows that once he perfects this, he will unlock any defense. looks like the lad had a “dribble them to gain confidence” philosophy.
He was easily giving the ball away but was relentless and eventually he started making a little bit of sense. He will grow into the game with time. I predict that by the fourth game, he will start scoring.
Be Kalu, we beg you. You have done a lot for our football even when we did not agree with you. we have one humble request. Please bring us Charly Musonda Junior. We need him. I believe his siblings can also do us a lot of good. Please. We can compete with Belgium in terms football accolades. they have not even been at a world cup in years. So, with these youngsters in our books, and the current experience we have. It will be something. This boy will bring another dimension to our game. Kalengo, Mbesuma and Mayuka will all be scoring at will in a 3133 system
