Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink could be ready to raid former club Chelsea for Belgian teenager Charly Musonda.
QPR boss Hasselbaink watched 19-year-old starlet Musonda as Chelsea under-21s beat Middlesbrough on Monday.
Hasselbaink wants to strengthen his squad in January and may ask whether Chelsea will loan him out to get first team experience.
AZ Alkmaar and Feyenoord also had scouts there but ex-Chelsea striker Hasselbaink may hope his connection can bolster QPR’s chances to strengthen their promotion push.
Midfielder Musonda is one of several Chelsea youngsters who has struggled to break through at Stamford Bridge despite being highly rated.

DRC doesn’t allow dual citizenship either but soccer players are an exception; so they are using talented boys of Congolese heritage to strengthen their team: Bolasie, Mulumbu, the younger brother of Marseilles captain and France second choice keeper.. and several others. These guys, like Charly Jr, were born and bred in Europe and cant even sing DRC’s national anthem but they doing a great job for the country and nobody cares about the rest!
We might not be able to compete with Belgium for the services of Charly (unless we want to start a war with Belgium!!!) but surely we can try to lure his brother Tika who is a solid defender but who is unlikely to challenge Kompany and others in the Belgian team in the foreseable future
