Zambia coach Avram Grant is expected to name a new Chipolopolo Boys captain.
The Israeli coach is set to replace Lubambo Musonda and his vice captain Rodrick Kabwe at the helm of the national team.
“We are starting a new tournament (phase), so one of the things is who will be the captain, I am thinking about this. A captains need to lead by example and for me it is more important, the captain needs to show all we are talking about, fighting spirit, commitment to the national team ,” he says.
“I think the players that were captain in this tournament did a good job, they showed that they can be one of them but we will announce about the captain soon.”
During the recent Four Nations tournament in Malawi Stopilla Sunzu was deputised Clatous Chama.

Good thinking coach this is long overdue
SUNZU S,SHOULD BE THE CAPTAIN, CLAYTUS TO BE DEPUTY.
.
Frank Chisanga Musonda captain and Daka should be a vice captain
Of course it’s long overdue. Lubambo Musonda is not inspiring enough to captain the side, especially his bellow average performance in Ivory Coast , at the last Africa Cup where the big Congolese were just tossing him around like a little boy! Grant should be fielding players who are big in stature, like Sunzu, to counter the big sized players from the Central and West Africa!
Yes indeed,we need a new captain.Franklyn Musonda,Triple C,Patson and even Sunzu are good bets coz they have stature, good performance as well as command.
