Chipolopolo Boys skipper Enock Mwepu returned to action on Sunday as Brighton and Albion came from a goal down to beat West Ham in their final game of the 2021/2022 English Premier League season.
Mwepu sustained a groin injury in the Seagulls 3-0 win over Wolves a minute after the hour mark at Molineux Stadium on 30th April.
The Computer was named on the bench for the match by Albion boss Graham Potter and came off the bench to replace Moises Caicedo.
Mwepu immediately got involved in the action as he was part of the build up for Pascal Gross’s goal barely a minute after being introduced.
Albion came from behind to secure a 3-1 win over West Ham on Sunday, ensuring they ended the campaign with their best ever top-flight finish as well as adding three points to an already record-breaking Premier League points tally.
Michail Antonio’s strike just before the break saw Albion slip down to 13th spot, but a second half rally saw Joel Veltman, Pascal Gross and Danny Welbeck find the back of the net to see the Seagulls finish ninth on 51 points.
Mwepu will be expected to join the Zambia national team camp in a few days time ahead of next Month’s AFCON qualifier against Ivory Coast.
