Andrew Phiri bags a brace at MUZA awards gala

FC MUZA Talisman Andrew Phiri celebrated his birthday grand style by scooping two awards at the Club’s awards gala.

Phiri who was the Zambia Super League newcomers top goalscorer with 16 goals was and nemed the club’s player of the year award sponsored by Byta FM Radio Station.

The end of the season award gala was held at Abivist Garden graced by Southern Province Minister Cornelius Mweetwa on Saturday evening.

Goalkeeper Jairos Tembo walked away with the most improved player award while Mandra Muleya won the most consistent player of the season.

Mike Mudenda won the most disciplined player award with Kelvin Mwanza walking away with the young player of the year.

Second year Environmental Health student at UNZA, Chipo Sondashi won the presidential recognition award.

Chipo’s five goals and five assists in 14 league appearances in the 2021/2022 season helped propel MUZA into the FAZ MTN Super League for the 2022/2023 football season.

F.C MUZA Director Keith Mweemba was also awarded with the meritorious award.
