Minister of Sports, Youth and Arts Elvis Nkandu says there’s need for FAZ to revise the contracts for the national team coach to ensure he delivers.
Aljosa Asanovic was given a 4-year contract by FAZ last week.
Nkandu also assured that the new dawn adminstration is committed to supporting all sports disciplines in the country.
“I propose that we give shorter contracts to coaches such as two years to observe if they perform rather than us wasting so much money,” Nkandu said over the weekend
Not for the first time, Nkandu also expressed dissapointment that Zambia did not make it to the Africa Cup of Nations for the third time in a row.
“We can’t be failing to qualify for such an important tournament due to the low performance of the people we hire.

There is already a problem with this minister of sport! Faz must put their foot down and fight this chap who knows little or nothing about football. The previous minister was squarely responsible for delaying the appointment of the national coach. Nkandu must be reminded that building a good team takes time. Otherwise I see us failing to go to afcon 2023!
What’s this chap talking about ???? He must think before he talks!!! Was the contract not presented to all stakeholders before pending any signature ??? Why coming to the media to air your views??? Do you know the contract’s content ???
This Minister is a misfit and retard.
Surely, cant even a foolish minister realise that it takes time to build a formidable team.
And this comprised Kalu leaning Minister does not want to invest (money) but somehow wants instant success, how bizarre !!!
