Chipolopolo striker Gamphani Lungu scored the only goal of the game as Supersport United edged Kaizer Chiefs 1-0 at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium.
Lungu put the ball behind the net in the 40th minute after Brandon Peterson flapped the ball straight into his path and the Zambian international made no mistake.
The Glamour Boys tried to find a way back with long range shots from the likes of Yusuf Maart while Samkelo Zwane hit the side netting.
Thamsanqa Gabuza came close to doubling the lead for Matsatsantsa in the final stages but 1-0 the match finished.
The win takes Supersport United to 51 points tied with Orlando Pirates who occupy second place thanks to a better goal difference.
Lungu has now been involved in six goals so far this season ( Three goals and three assists).
