The popular saying,Nothing is impossible may just be one of the truest phrases in the World right now where the Zambia Super League is concerned.
Record 13 time Champions, Nkana came from a goal down to beat Nkwazi 2-1 at Chilata.
Emmanuel Mutale pulled the hosts level in the 76th minute after Carlos Kaoma had put Nkwazi in the lead in the first half.
Lameck Kafwaya won it at the death to take Nkana to 6th place with 41 points.
As things stand, Nkana are currently seventh on the log and just four points away from Green Buffaloes in second place.
Now that’s a turnaround for a team that started the season on the backfoot fighting relegation and only one win to their name in their first eleven games.
Beston Chambeshi’s men are unbeaten in their last eight matches with five wins and three draws.
With six matches left to play, Nkana are mathematically still in the race for the title title but more realistically in the race to finish as runners up.
The Wusakile based side remain with trips to Lumwana, Arthur Davies Stadium and Trade Fair to face ZESCO United.
At home they expect visits from Green Eagles, NAPSA Stars and Kansanshi Dynamos, all tricky fixtures at this stage of the season.
It’s all to play in the last stretch of the season and will be exciting to see how Nkana will fare and where they will eventually finish at week 34.
