Friday Samu in South Africa looking to seal a move

Zambia Super League-leading top goalscorer Friday Samu is in South Africa looking to seal a move to a DSTV premiership side, Maritzburg United, the ZamFoot Crew understands.

Samu who has been impressive for Green Buffaloes is in Pietermaritzburg training and so far impressing the Team of Choice.

Samu left for South Africa early in the week as he looks to push for a move away from the Zambia army sponsored side.

The forward has spent 9 years at the club.

The lanky forward leads the top scorers chart for the 2021/2022 season with 14 goals to his name so far which include a five goal feat against Indeni in October.

Maritzburg United are currently 13th on the DSTV premiership log table with 15 points to their name.

Should he impress Ernst Middendorp he will have to battle for a place in the starting lineup with French-born forward Amadou Soukouna and Richard Zumah.
