Frankie  Musonda rescues a point for AYR

Chipolopolo defender scored a second half goal to rescue a point for his Scottish Cinch Premiership side, AYR United.

The AFCON bound defender helped The Honest Men fight back from two goals down to secure a vital point.

United recovered from two Alex Jakubiak goals within the opening 10 minutes to secure a point at home to Dunfermline Athletic.

The striker fired the opener after three minutes and a similar finish gave the Fifers an ideal start.

However, winger Aiden McGeady’s shot found the bottom corner shortly before the break to make it 2-1.

And Musonda then equalised with a close-range header to draw AYR level.

Fourth-top Dunfermline move to within six points of Partick Thistle with a game in hand, while Ayr stay seventh on the log.
