2012 AFCON golden boot winner Emmanuel Mayuka has joined FAZ National Division One side Atletico Lusaka technical bench as the strikers coach.
The club took to social media to confirm the appointment of the former Southampton forward.
“We are happy to announce that Emmanuel Mayuka, 2012 hero, will join Atletico Lusaka technical bench with the particular focus on training the strikers.
Emmanuel with his vast experience can help the young players to improve in their skills, technique and accuracy in scoring.
Welcome Emmanuel!!! 🇿🇲🇿🇲💪🏿💪🏿”
Mayuka started making waves as a young striker at Kabwe Warriors through his goal scoring prowess.
He started making steady progress and soon he was off to Israel Maccabi Tel Aviv; He was there from 2008-2010 before making a move to Young Boys of Switzerland which was the time he was at his peak 2010-2012.
He was very lethal at this time and helped Zambia win its only AFCON title at the 2012 tournament held in Equatorial Guinea/ Gabon scoring three goals to win the Golden boot.
Mayuka then made his big move to the English Premier League to join Southampton.
However things didn’t work out and he moved to the French Ligue 1 with FC Metz before moving to Zamalek in Egypt.
He returned to Zambia and joined NAPSA Stars in 2020 and helped them during their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

Okay that’s fine let us wait and see what happens next during his tanure at this second division club
