Former National Football team Manager Solly Pandor has died.
Pandor died Wednesday morning of suspected cardiac arrest at his business location in Lusaka.
His nephew Imren Pandor who confirmed the death of Zambia’s longest serving National Football team Manager in Lusaka said the remains of Pando will be disposed off this evening.
Pandor became national team manager after the 1993 Gabon Air-crash and served until about 1998 before he bounced back in the same position from 2002 to 2010.
He holds the record of being the national team manager to have represented his country the most times with five Africa Cup of Nations finals appearances.

RIP Ba zambia
Very sad indeed at the rate we lose people of his calibre, who would have helped in taking our football to greater heights e.g. Former officials, coaches and players who would have rubbed off their experiences to the current generation
Rest in peace mr pandor
Very sad news. RIP Solly Pandor. We will forever be thankful for the professional manner in which you handled the Chipolopolo logistics.
So sorry. MHSRIP.
The ref is helping Sundowns. Too bad for African football.
Sad moment for Zambian football. It shall come to pass though.
Viva Vita club.
Now we can talk about which side is unimpressive( Zesco or Sundowns)?
Ati sundowns.Even with help from the ref they have the nerve to say zega was unimpressive.Go vita go Zega.
The Sun has gone down on them.South Africans are too noisy for nothing. The many teams they overrate are useless. In fact they have only one true strong club and that is Pirates.
This very Sad NEWS. This man served the Nation faithfully, tirelessly and was committed to his job. One of the best Team Managers of our National Soccer team.
Never heard him complain despite some short comings in different FA Managements he served under.
When I was in Zed this last December I went into his shop on Cairo Rd and the man was there and had a chat with him a bit.
Go well Mr Pandor and thanks for everything you did. “HAMBA KAHLE…”
MHSRIP
