The Zambia U20 Men’s National Team has received a significant boost ahead of the 2025 TotalEnergies CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), with the arrival of three foreign-based players in camp.
The trio includes the Georgia duo of Frank Chileshe and Bonephanseo Phiri and Spain-domiciled Aaron Mbemba.
Their inclusion brings the total number of players in camp to 23, with only Brazil-based striker Andrew Mulenga yet to report.
Zambia is in Group A at this year’s U20 AFCON alongside tournament hosts Egypt, Sierra Leone, Tanzania and regional rivals South Africa.
Coach Boyd Mulwanda and his technical bench have intensified preparations in Ismailia as the team gears up for their opening match against Sierra Leone on Sunday. Kick-off is set for 18h00.
