As Power Dynamos takes on Sudanese outfit Al Merreikh we shine the spotlight on 2012 AFCON winner Jonas Sakuwaha who starred for the North African side for two seasons. Sakuwaha also played in the French Ligue 1 for FC Lorient in 2009 and spent a loan spell at La Havre.
Prior to his French expedition he was also part of the Zesco United CAF successful story in the 2007 season. Although his national team chapter is not covered in goal scoring individual glory he left enough footprint to be remembered for being part of the 2012 AFCON glory.
After the 2013 AFCON he missed out on national duty until 2015 when he participated in the match involving Zambia and Mozambique on 6 September at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.
Sakuwaha inspired Al Merreikh to the 2011 title where he emerged top scorer with 18 goals.
