…Eight players to join on Saturday including Barbra Banda
The Copper Queens camp has been boosted by the arrival of four local players into Cuiaba for the FIFA Series tournament that kicks off on Saturday.
Four players namely Maweta Chilenga, Natasha Nanyangwe, Agness Phiri and Ngosa Chabwe joined the squad on Friday morning.
The arrival of the quartet leaves two local players and six foreign based players who are expected to arrive on Saturday morning.
Those being awaited are skipper Barbra Banda, Angel City forward Prisca Chilufya, and Mexico based forward Grace Chanda.
Others are Turkey based duo of defenders Lushomo Mweemba, and Martha Tembo, China domiciled Ireen Lungu, Green Buffaloes WFC defender Memory Nthala and Red Arrows winger Mary Mambwe.
Zambia plays Canada on Saturday at the Arena Pantanal in Cuiaba at 15h00 local time (21h00 Zambian time).
The match will be streamed on the FIFA+ online platform.
