Fever knocks Arrows’ Chamanga out of the Buildcon game

Red Arrows coach Chisi Mbewe has revealed that veteran striker James Chamanga will miss Saturday’s Super League tie against Buildcon.

The Airmen welcome of fifth placed Buildcon at Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium in the top of the table clash.

“We are ready for Buildcon. We have prepared well and trained for this particular match,” the Arrows coach said.

In terms of team news, Chisi said some of the players have slight knocks while Chamanga has a ‘slight fever.’

“We have a few players with slight knocks as well while ‘big Jemba’ (James Chamanga) who has a slight fever. Subsequently.

“Jemba is ruled out but expect a good game. And others must be ready to take up the task and we have that depth.

Chamanga has 5 goals in the league

With 41 year old out, leading scorer Ricky Banda and Joseph Phiri are expected to start against the Ndola side.

Striker Twiza Chaibela who opened his account with a winner against Forest Rangers last week and Congolese striker Alidor Kayembe will be key off the bench.

Arrows are 11 points ahead of Buildcon, and will be hoping to maintain their grip at the top.
