Rescheduled Match Week 16

Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Women’s Super League log leaders ZESCO Ndola Girls suffered their third loss of the season as they succumbed to a 1-nil loss at the hands of Green Buffaloes Women Football Club in a rescheduled match week 14 played earlier today at Green Square Ground in Arakan, Lusaka.
Buffaloes went into this match from a painful 1-nil loss at the hands of Indeni Roses three days ago.
It was the Landlord Memory Nthala who scored the only goal of the match in the first half and that was enough to condemn Zegalicious to a disappointing 1-nil defeat at the hands of Buffaloes who completed a double victory over ZESCO after winning with the similar scoreline in the reverse fixture played on 20th March 2021 at the Trade Fair Grounds in Ndola.
Elsewhere, fresh from a 1-nil win over Red Arrows in midweek, Indeni Roses were silenced 2-0 by Red Arrows Women Football Club in a rescheduled Match Week 16 played at Bank of Zambia (BoZ) Sports Complex.
A goal each from League top goal scorer Grace Chanda and Margaret Belemu were enough for the Air Ladies to emerge victorious over The Smart Roses.
ZESCO still leads the table on 42 points from 19 games played while Buffaloes have now moved up to 6th position with 28 points from 12 games played.
Arrows are have now taken their tally of points to 34 just on fourth position 2 points behind Indeni who are third on the table.
