Green Buffaloes Women Football club has reclaimed the top spot after playing out to a 1-1 draw with Queens Academy while Police Doves Queens recorded their first win of the season as they edged Mufulira Wanderers Queens in a five-goal thriller.
Green Buffaloes returned to action this weekend after a break for a week due to National team engagement where they contributed close to ten players. Buffaloes needed a second-half Memory Nthala to secure a point after Evelyn Tembo had put Queens in the lead.
The draw takes Buffaloes to ten points and back at the summit on superior goal difference while Queens Academy has now amassed 7 points.
At the Cage, Indeni Sports complex, Indeni Roses put up a good show in the second half scoring three goals to hand ZISD their fourth loss of the season, the first for new coach Bernard Mwape Chisenga.
Veteran Noria Sosala scored a brace while Esther ‘Onga’ Namukwasa chipped in with a goal to seal a well-deserved win for the Oilo Ladies.
In Solwezi, Police Dove Queens recorded their first win of the season as they beat Mufulira Wanderers Queens 3-2 in a tightly contested encounter.
In other results, National Assembly and ZESCO Ndola Girls played to a goalless draw and so did Nkwazi Queens and YASA Queens.
