The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) are demanding answers from Danish side FC Midtjylland for failing to release Edward Chilufya.
The Kasama native came on in the 38th minute for Brazilian Marron Da Silva in his team’s goalless draw with Fredericha yesterday.
“FAZ has demanded answers from Danish side FC Midtjylland for withholding Edward Chilufya from international duty 24 hours after playing in his side’s 0-0 draw to Fredericia.”
FAZ has also confirmed that Rally Bwalya will miss the two international friendly matches following logistical challenges as his club is still away in West Africa where they were on duty in the CAF Confederation Cup against Asec Mimosas who beat them 3-0.
The other players to miss out are the injured Augustine Mulenga who was stretchered off in Amazulu’s 2-0 loss to Raja Casablanca in the CAF Confederation Cup.
England based Patson Daka has asked to be excused to a family matter.
Chipolopolo coach Aljosa Asanovic has 23 players for this week’s trip to Turkey that will feature in two international friendly matches starting with Congo Brazzaville on Friday March 25.
