Football Association of Zambia Deputy General Secretary Iva Lengwe this afternoon met up with the Under 17 Men’s Football team following their return from the 2025 Under 17 Men’s World Cup in Qatar.
Lengwe who officially welcomed the team on behalf of the Association praised the Dennis Makinka – tutored side for their performance despite exiting the competition in the round of 32.
He encouraged the team to remain determined and focused as they still have a bright future and can go on to play top professional football.
He disclosed that in due time FAZ will unveil a comprehensive plan for the team as they have great potential and can go on to win titles for the country in future competitions.
Lengwe was received by the team’s head of delegation who represented various accolades, certificates and gifts that the team was presented with while at the World Cup.
Zambia exited the competition in the round of 32 after a 3-1 loss to Mali.
