The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has moved to restructure the Zambian league and will move to enact the new FAZ Premier League structure into law next month.
Head of Club Licensing Erick Mwanza who headed the League Restructuring Taskforce unveiled the new league structure stating that the move received massive support from FAZ Councillors on his countrywide tour.
Mwanza said the new Premier League will transform the present structure into four (4) streams of the First Division which will be aired on TV and provide a new window of commercialisation for the division and clubs.
Each first division stream will have 16 teams and has Zone One (Luapula, Copperbelt and North Western Provinces). Division 1 Zone Two (Lusaka and Eastern Provinces); Division One Zone Three (Northern, Central and Muchinga Provinces) and Division One Zone Four has Southern and Western provinces.
The Super League will be expanded to 18 teams with two teams being relegated from the Super League at the end of the 2015 season.
The reconvened AGM to enact it into law will be held by 10th October 2015.

Great move ba FAZ
Wouldn’t it be helpful to have Luapula and Northern provinces put in the same zone to help with traveling logistics?
Good move faz
Pliz invite kamanga to be part of FAZ this is what he was talking about on the interviews, so he can do it better
Kamanga is a failure we don’t want failures to led faz he failed at kabwe warriors and power dynamoes what has he anchive as an administrate let try someone else not failures like him
Great move to take our football high
It seems Faz has been working after all. This is unprecedented in the history of the game. Imagine Power Dynamos going to KASAMA to play a premier League game, wow! And all that football televised,, great stuff! Mwabombeni ba FAZ.
Great strategy by FAZ but include cup tourneys for all divisions so that teams start having some prize money to use in logistics and start up capital for business.More cup tourneys FAZ.
campaign strategy move by faz
OK – This sounds good.
Coaches need to consider obrey chirwa who is now playing in sweden once played along Aaron katebe at FC Platinum in zim. What a striker
Great move FAZ. This will incorporate a sense of belonging for all and will decentralize football to the non-traditional areas. Meaning players will be able to make in their own areas and get polished before we can talk of playing in Lusaka or Copperbelt. Can you imagine a team from Lundazi in the the premier league!

Can someone educate us on how the progression between division 1 & 2 will be. How many will drop from the four streams and how will they be replaced by the 10 provinces?
Campaign strategy! Kalu is a fulltime employee of Faz. Paid salary by Faz, in addition paid hefty allowances such as air tickets, expensive lifestyle and to keep his Italian girlfriend in luxury. He will do anything to clinge to the position of Faz president.
Like that football will be an employer of many youths, development of sports infrastructure in the out skirts great move.
No politics, insults ad bad language in football.the crop running Faz is fairing well in their plans, good restructuring and castering of provinces, well done managers of football,bt consider mufulirawanderers’appeal the team is doing fine, the judgement was slapped on them b4 the sitting .
Good move faz
