Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga has advised Zambia’s CAF interclub representatives to improve their performance to ensure the country maintains the four slots in the CAF competitions.
Kamanga says Zambian clubs should not only target to only consistently reach the group stages but aim to win both the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup competitions.
“Our advice to our representatives is that they should improve their performance to ensure that we maintain our slots in the CAF competitions. Zambia should target to not only consistently reach the group stages but aim to win the competition,” Kamanga said.
He adds that the clubs have garnered enough experience from participation and expects that they step up their performance to be serious contenders in the African elite football competitions.

Zambia retained the four slots in CAF competitions for the 2021-2022 season alongside Angola, South Africa, Algeria, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Guinea, Morocco, Nigeria, Sudan, Tanzania, and Tunisia.
