The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Deputy General Secretary Joseph Chimpampwe has applauded the U-17 Girls for their performance at the Just ended COSAFA Championship in Mauritius.
Chimpampwe was speaking when he welcomed the girls upon arrival from Mauritius at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport on Tuesday afternoon.
“We are very very proud of You madam delegation Leader its the first time also like you people for getting on a trip like this, to the coaching staff I think you have exceeded our Expectations, look at them these are young girls,” he said.
The General Secretary advised the Girls to aim high and focus on upcoming future tournaments and avoid being involved in illicit behavior.
“The sky is no longer the limit is each one of yourself individually because this is a life long Experience so you have to look at where you are going, there is U-20 Next year the first Choice will come from you because the Current U-20 Won’t be there so start looking at the opportunities.”
“As individuals Some bad Vices, bad behaviors run away from them because God has opened a way for you so it’s up to you will live it to your hands and as an Association we are there to facilitate your path,” he said.
This was the first-ever COSAFA U-17 Championship to ever take place and Zambia walked away with the Bronze Medals after beating Botswana 3-0 in the third and fourth playoff.
