Lusaka Province FAZ Division one outfit Chongwe United head Coach Jethro Mathalise has expressed happiness over his team’s 2-0 win against Vector FC in a week 18 fixture.
Cornwell Buumba scored a brace to guide Chongwe to their first win in five games, Before this game, Chongwe United went 4 games in a row without collecting maximum points.
“It was a very tricky encounter as you all may know that we are coming from 4 games without picking a point, so it was a massive boost for us winning away and am deeply elated with the result knowing that the team is now getting on well and we are prepared for the next game,” Mathalise said.
He went further to request Chongwe United supporters to be patient with the team as they are still adapting to the level of the game as many of them are still young. Mathalise is confident that the whole team can deliver the required results.
“We will continue working hard as a team and ensure that we collect maximum points in the next games and our supporters need to be patient with us, it’s a young team coming from the amateur this time they are in Division 1 so most of the players are still young and are still learning,” He said.
Chongwe United will now host Vector FC in a week one rescheduled fixture at Chongwe Secondary School Ground this afternoon
