Fathi believes Napsa Stars can only get better after Zesco United draw

Napsa Stars played out to a 1-1 draw with Zesco United at Woodlands stadium thanks to a late equalizer from substitute Laudit Mavugo, Napsa Stars went behind in the first half from a Clement Mwape headed goal.

Fathi’s men fought hard to level matters deep in added time, and the Napsa stars coach believes his team can only get better as the season progresses.

“It was a tough match but we managed to come back, this is football its 90 minutes you don’t lose hope anytime you can score a goal, but I think we had some issues in terms of injuries some changes in midfield, there is an official statement that will come regarding some players but we did our job and it’s not bad,” he said.

“I think we are a bit far from our performance last season but we are capable of bouncing back in a short period we still have two days for Wednesday game and Saturday game, I think by Saturday you will see a performance different from this one,” he added.

Napsa Stars’ next assignment is a short trip to play cross-town rivals Lusaka Dynamos, both teams in search of victory after drawing their first matches.

Clement Mwape opened the scores in the eleventh minute and with Zesco United headed for a win Laudit Mavugo leveled matters with the last kick of the match to make sure the two teams shared spoils.
