Zambia U-23 National team forward Fashion Sakala arrived in Cairo, Egypt at the ongoing U-23 AFCON.
Sakala who plays for Kv Oostende in Belgium missed the first group B opening match against South Africa which ended in a barren draw.
Upon his arrival in Egyp,t Fashion Sakala applauded the team for their performance in the first game and that today’s game against Nigeria is a must-win for Zambia.
” I was looking forward to meeting my teammates I was not happy I missed the first game, it was very important for us we were supposed to win that game but I understand its normal to one point it was better for us,” he said.
“Its time for us to fight even harder looking forward to the game against Nigeria we just have to win there is no need to have excuses we just have to work hard and win the game.”
“When you look at the players who missed the game these are players who play almost 90 minutes, every player is very to the team but I think our space was a little bit lost so when are back like this we have to show our quality and work together as a team and we have to show what it means to be missed, as at now we are back and will add a lot of value.”
Fashion is Confident that the team has the quality to Compete and reach in the finals of the tournament.
“This is is a very good team I really believe in my teammates we are working hard together am pretty sure we can reach the finals, I don’t really care about what happened in the first game I think now its time to concentrate and stay focused in these two games we have to win and I think we can go with the Cup back home.” He said
He added that he is in good shape and will work extra hard to guide the team and reach the final “Am in a very good shape Zambians they expect goals from me and I have this pressure I just have to prove it they are expecting me to win I will my level best I have already done a lot but it’s not enough for my country I just need to work hard and help the team to reach the finals.”
Zambia will play Nigeria this evening in a group B match at Al-Salam Stadium in Cairo.

Elekosa. Nigeria know very well a loose will mean goodbye. That Nigeria were beaten by Ivory Coast does not mean Ivory Coast were the better team, infact them Ivory Coast were very luck that Nigeria had a player sent off. It will be a big game. I am getting worried
This ba Kafusha i agree will be a tough game. We need 100% concentration levels. All the best to the boys. I believe they will deliver.
