Zambian striker Fashion Sakala Jnr has parted ways with his previous handlers and will now be represented by Los Angeles based Sports Marketing and Management company, Wasserman.
Wasserman is a very respectable firm and in 2018 it was ranked second in the Forbes world’s most valuable Sports Agencies with $3.7 billion in contracts net $175 million in commissions, representing a respective $1 billion and $40 million increase in between 2017 and 2018.

In November 2006, the company acquired soccer agency SFX, in the UK and went on to manage the careers of the likes of Steven Gerrard, Robbie Keane, Jamie Carragher, Michael Owen, Tim Cahill, Jonathan Woodgate, Alex Morgan, Tobin Heath, Heather O’Reilly, Wes Brown, Scott Parker, Jack Wilshere, Park Ji-Sung, Shay Given, Tim Howard, and Emile Heskey.
With Wasserman in his corner Sakala may make a move in the next transfer window since his club, KV Oostende has been relegated to the second tier of Belgian football after the License Committee did not grant them a professional license for the 2020-2021 season.
The license application was based on a capital increase of 2.7 million euros that would be injected by the American investor Pacific Media Group (PMG) who have since pulled out of a deal to acquire a majority stake in struggling Belgian top-flight club which is a severe blow to Oostende, a club that has been struggling to keep afloat.
The club has however appealed against the decision of the licensing committee.
Sakala was the top goalscorer for the struggling side, Scoring 8 goals in 28 appearances.
