Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup between Zesco United and FC 105 de Libreville at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium is free for all spectators.
Zesco have announced this afternoon that only the VIP tickets will be sold at a reduced price of K100 as they rally fans for support in Sunday’s crucial encounter.
The Ndola giants trail FC 105 ahead of the return leg encounter on Sunday following a 2-0 defeat in the first leg played in Gabon last weekend.
The winner between the two sides will play either Mighty Wanderers of Malawi or Botswana’s Jwaneng Galaxy in the second preliminary round.
Zesco will be looking to emulate the class of 2016 which reached the CAF Champions League semi finals and were eliminated by eventual winners, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Six clubs received byes into the Second Preliminary Round including Wydad AC (Morocco), USM Alger (Algeria), CR Belouizdad (Algeria), Zamalek SC (Egypt), Al Masry SC (Egypt), Stellenbosch FC (South Africa)
This season, teams eliminated in the first two rounds will each receive USD 100,000 to assist with logistical costs, as CAF continues its strategy of encouraging broader participation and competitive balance across the continent.
