MTN Super League side Green Eagles FC will step up their preparations for the upcoming season with a pre-season training camp in South Africa as the club looks to fine-tune its squad ahead of a busy campaign, the ZamFoot Crew can exclusively reveal.
The trip is expected to provide the players with quality training facilities and competitive match exposure as the technical bench assesses the team’s readiness, the ZamFoot Crew has learned.
The Kawale Boys are expected to travel to South Africa next week according to ZamFoot Crew sources in Choma.
“Yes, Eagles are heading to South Africa for pre pre-season. It’s a done deal,” a source in Choma told the ZamFoot Crew.
Coach Perry Mutapa is expected to have a mix of new players and key players from last season as he looks to leave no stone unturned ahead of the transitional season.
The ZamFoot Crew understands that new acquisitions Rickson N’gambi, Mike Musukuma and Penias Tonga among others will all be part of the trip.
The Choma based outfit finished sixth last season and will be looking to push for a top two finish this season to qualify for continental football.
