Former Orlando Pirates striker Andries Sebola is confident Zambian duo Augustine Mulenga and Justin Shonga can lead the Buccaneers to glory next season.
Pirates beat Mamelodi Sundowns to the signature of Justin Shonga last year, while Mulenga joined the Soweto giants in January after a promising showing during the CHAN competition in Morocco.
Shonga has four goals and six assists in 22 appearances, but you get the feeling the 21-year-old will score more as his confidence grows. Mulenga, meanwhile, has scored three goals in six appearances.
Both players played for Nkwazi before Mulenga joined seven times Zambian Champions Zanaco 2 years after their stay at Edwin Imboela Stadium.
Sebola, a man who was known as “super-sub” during his playing days, says the Zambian striker remind him of the late Dennis Lota, who was adored by the Bucs faithful.
“The person who recruited the two strikers is spot on. Unlike other strikers who come in and take a few games to score goals, they came in and started scoring for Pirates,” Sebola tells our source.

“They are not afraid to take players on, especially Mulenga. I think we are going to hear a lot more about him next season. When he gets the ball, he attacks the defenders. Both of them remind me of the late Dennis Lota. When Lota used to get the ball, he would turn and face the defenders and defenders don’t want to see that. Good things are still going to come from them.”
He continued: “If Micho can play them at the same time, they are going to kill a lot of teams. They must start the season with them playing together upfront.”

These boys are deadly playing together…Pirates will do well in Africa and Mulenga will lead the way…
Yes these 2 will definitely light up Pirates and of course the Chipolopolo.
However, whereas I feel Mulenga has it all made for him, I still feel Justine needs to be more clinical in front of goal. He normally rushes his shots and most of the time awfully misses the target.
