Hapoel Ra’anana striker Evans Kangwa will head to Zambia for the the national team camp ahead of the Africa Cup qualifier against Kenya in Nairobi in high spirits after he bagged a brace in his team’s 3 – 2 away win against Bnei Sakhnin.
Starting only his first game for his club in the two week old league, Kangwa was on target in the 64th and 68th minutes to help his team take the lead after they had conceded in the 21st minute.
He was replaced in the 74th minute while his compatriot Emmanuel Mbola completed the entire match despite being yellow carded in the 34th minute.
Mbola has played both games for his team.
Chisamba Lungu was back in action after a two week injury lay off and played 78 minutes for Ural as they drew 3 – 3 against Terek Grozny.
Stopilla Sunzu only made the bench as Lille picked their first win against bottom placed Gazalec Ajaccio in a game that ended 1 – 0.
Lubambo Musonda played the entire match as his club posted a goalless draw against Emmanuel Mbola’s former club Pyunik.
The leagues in India, Morocco and Egypt has not kicked off so there was no action for Kondwani Mtonga, Aaron Katebe and Ronald Kampamba.
Other national team call ups; the TP Mazembe trio of Kabaso Chongo, Rainford Kalaba and Nathan Sinkala as well as Kennedy Mweene and Collins Mbesuma did not have club engagements over the past weekend.
The 13 players playing outside Zambia called to camp have already started arriving in the country and ZamFoot will give an update.

kenya 1:1 zambia
Great second goal from Evans…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cO8azjhzpHE
That was an accident for kangwa to score.
Kangwa is a prolific striker and has proven this when given the chance. A case in point was the friendly against Uganda at LEVI in Ndola when he scored two brilliant goals. A gud coach will get the best out of him! Which brings one to Lwandamina; how on earth someone railroaded him to feature Patson Daka when everyone knew that he knew we knew he knew the boy was not up to the task of top man. Basically Lwandamina cannot stand up to pompous Kalu.
Slim, Evans got injured in training leading to the game
He showed determination in his first goal and great vision of placment plus finishing on his second goal…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cO8azjhzpHE
Hope he starts against Kenya
When Zamfoot goes to sleep, i turn to Chipolopolo die hards on Facebook. The y are always updating with excellent weekend wrap for all zambian players playing in the different leagues abroad.
Its good that our players are see games time I’m happy for the perfomance of evans kangwa.mayuka can still find a club after the transfer window is closed because he is a free agent.
Victor Wanyama askd saints to leave but i wonder why Mayuka couldnt do that .
Victor at this point is marketable because of his performances last season. He knows very well that he will have prominent clubs chasing his signature if granted permission to leave the saints as for Mayuka, now that is a different story altogether.
You only ask to leave when you know another club is dying to sign you. Wanyama knows Totenham are chasing for his signature.
Victor Wanyama is wanted by Tottenham Hot Spurs, so that is why he wants to leave, while Mayuka no Club has so far indicated being iterested in his services, but with transfers anything can happen just in the last minute, so we wait until 00:00 hours lelo
Most important thing now is what they can do for Zambia. We need to focus and work hard.
OK what is the story with Sunzu now? I hope he has not gone to France with automatic first team selection mentality just because its Herve at the helm of the coaching staff. Is he not pulling his weight in training? If it was an issue of match fitness the coach should give him some minutes in games to regain confidence and match fitness. This bench story is getting me worried.
With these sort of performances Chicken George will have very nice/good team selection problems…..if both these boys Sate Sate and Evans are performing then the coach can just flip a coin on who is going to partner Mbesuma upfront.
The Kenyan white coach ll as usual TACTICALLY OUTSMART THE LOCAL BLACK COACH OF ZAMBIA!! Hehee
Kenya 2 Zambia 0….
The tactical superiority of the Kenyan coach ll win this match for them!!
My commentn hidden why??????
Good show Evans, come with them shooting boots!
so those clowns at Faz will start with not yet if not even near ripe Patson in place of say playing the Master on the eleven, the King as the center forward and that lad Walter ku ten and if he fails to tick we substitute the later for Kangwa not that patson he should not even be benched the boy is even just failing to command a starting place at Dynamos and yet he starts for the well easthablished National Team like Zambia,so sad so sad indeed.
go zambia go.we will win in nairobi
