Evans Kangwa joins Eagles on short term deal


MTN Super League side Green Eagles have acquired the services of experienced striker Evans Kangwa who recently parted ways with Nkana.


Kangwa has penned a short term deal with the Kawale Boys until the end of the season. Kangwa left Nkana earlier this week after reaching a mutual separation agreement.

Kangwa is here for the fight and joins the squad to help us power through to the final whistle of the season.”


Kangwa left Nkana after a four month stay for his second stint. Kangwa rejoined Nkana in September last year for a second stint, eleven years after initially leaving the club to join Israeli side Hapoel Ranaana.


Kangwa left Nkana in 2014 when he joined Israeli side Hapoel Ranaana on an initial one year loan deal before signing a permanent deal which was extended for another year after impressing with 11 goals in his first season before signing a permanent 3 year deal.


Kangwa’s permanent move to Ranaana in 2016 was reported to be pegged at a little above USD150,000.00. Kangwa then moved to Turkish side Gaziantepspor before joining Russian side Arsenal Tula.


In 2023 Kangwa moved to China to join then newly promoted Chinese Super League side, Qingdao Hainiu before joining Saudi Arabia side Abha.
