Zambia national team duo of midfielder Enock Mwepu and striker Patson Daka helped Redbull Salzburg to win their record eighth Austrian Cup.
Mwepu scored the third goal and set up the second goal to help Salzburg to a 3-0 win over LASK Linz.
Daka was at the center of Salzburg’s first chance as he got the ball behind the defense but his pass across for Brenden Aaronson was intercepted by a LASK defender. Enock Mwepu had a chance but instead of shooting himself, he decided to pass the ball.
Germany U-21 forward Mergïm Berisha put Salzburg in the lead as he smashed a vital opening goal just before halftime.
Brenden Aaronson doubled the lead in the 67th minute with a brilliant shot from the edge of the box after being set up by the Computer, Enock Mwepu.
Patson Daka could have made it 3-0 from the penalty spot after Berisha was chopped down by Andrade but Schlager was able to keep the spot-kick out though by getting his feet to Daka’s effort.
Mwepu bundled in the 3rd goal in the 88th minute to seal the win and make Salzburg win the Cup a record eighth time and third in a row.
