Chipolopolo Boys captain Enock ‘The Computer’ Mwepu opened his English Premier League goal account in style as he netted a beauty, a contender for the goal of the season on Saturday, as Brighton and Hove Albion held in form Liverpool to a 2-2 draw away at Anfield.
The hosts were in control from the start and goals from Jordan Henderson and Sadio Mane had them 2-0 up inside 24 minutes and looked like another routine victory following their 5-0 win over Manchester United last weekend.
Yves Bissouma came close twice but he could not quite find a way past Allison Becker.
In the 28th minute, a cross into the box found Enock Mwepu in space, but his resulting header went well over.
Mwepu, who has been a Liverpool fan since childhood, then stole the show as he netted a beauty of a goal to cut the host’s lead in half before the break.
The summer signing from the Austrian side, Redbull Salzburg sent an exquisite cross-shot over into the box, and it just managed to squeeze between the crossbar and the fingertips of Allison into the back of the net, opening his English Premier League goal account.

Salah had a goal ruled out for offside and shortly it was 2-2 as Trossard scored inside the box in the 65th minute to make it 2-2. Lallana slipped in the Belgian who twisted past a defender before planting his shot past Alisson in front of the Kop.
Both Liverpool and Brighton had chances to win the match but Sanchez and Allison were equal to the task as they made sure the two sides shared the spoils after an afternoon of what was some brilliant football.
Mwepu was voted as the Brighton and Hove Albion fans player of the match following his overall impressive showing.

This silver lining we have over the dark cloud of AFCON and World Cup qualification failure. Having Mwepu Daka and Sakala will take us places. Zambia now needs to strengthen the spine of the team i.e have dominant Midfielder to compliment Mwepu, a strong center back ala Sunzu type, and goalkeeper who reliable (look how Allison changed Liverpool) and Zambia will go places.
By the way. Well done Mwepu. These guys are doing us proud. Totally made watching EPL that much more exciting
I knew our three boys will make us proud, mwepu ,sakala and daka since under 20s ,I think Sakala will eventually move to premier league and will shine and we are yet to see the best of daka
@Positive Thinking well spoken mate. Daka,Sakala and Mwepu are players to build your team on. Play to their strengths and have a good supporting cast.
