Emmanuel Banda gets late Chipolopolo call up

Midfielder Emmanuel Banda has been handed a late Chipolopolo call up after missing out on the initial 26 member squad.

Banda’s team Al Tai confirmed the development in a post on their social media platforms.

Banda was left out of the opening two 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Ivory Coast and Sierra Leone.

The team is currently in Ndola and has already started preparations with a number of foreign based players having jetted in to join the local legion.

Zambia faces Chad on 11th October at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium before travelling for the reverse fixture against N’djamena four days later.

The November window will see the final two matches with Copper Bullets’ tie against the Elephants the one to look out for.

The final Group G fixture will be against the Leone Stars in Freetown.

The top two countries in each group will qualify for the 35th edition in Morocco.

The tournament will be held from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.
